Client
Barnack Country Clothes & Wellieboots.com Ltd.
Project
To recommend and install a more efficient integrated retail system.
Background
This client used to have separate systems for the shop and another for the e-commerce side of the business. In the run up to Christmas 2004 the levels of business through the shop, mail order and websites proved too much and the systems went into meltdown.
Determined not to have a repeat of this situation again they contacted me to assist in selecting and installing a better retail system. After having thoroughly evaluated 3 different systems I recommended Cybertill which encompasses EPoS, mail & telephone order and e-commerce running off a single database.
Result
Having chosen the system I planned the structure and wrote manuals specific to the client to ensure that the temporary staff added products in the correct format.
Once the products were on and the EPoS part of the system was up and running I turned my attention to the websites. They were developed from the ground up with search engines in mind and as a consequence both return top 4 rankings on Google for their main search phrases.
My meticulous planning and installation prompted one of the Cybertill trainers, Neil McKay, to say it was the best implemented system he’d seen.
Client
Kate Lauren.
Project
To assist in applying the Kate Lauren branding and design to their Cybertill website.
Background
A Cybertill customer, Kate Lauren wanted to customise the default website template and, after having seen my work on wellieboots.com, enlisted my help.
Result
I worked closely with Kate Lauren and their existing designer to convert their static layout to a fully working e-commerce version. My role was primarily consultancy but I also performed some programming and testing work.
Kate Lauren achieved the goal of having their Cybertill based website fit perfectly with their brand.
